Technical Information

LIME JUICE is a liquid admixture used to replace lime in lime-cement mortars. It offers all the advantages of lime while eliminating its disadvantages:

  • Increases adhesion of the fresh mixture to the substrate.
  • Extends the mortar’s setting time.
  • Improves plasticity by its air-entraining action.
  • Increases cohesion of the mortar, preventing plaster from sagging.
  • Eliminates the risk of “blistering.”
  • Increases masonry wall strength.
  • Significantly reduces the cost of mortar.
  • Eliminates lime storage problems.
  • Does not contain chlorides or other corrosive ingredients.

Certified with the CE marking as an air-entraining/plasticizing admixture for masonry mortar, according to EN 934-3:T2. Certificate Nr: 0906-CPR-02412007/02.

Consumption

Masonry or Paving Mortars:

  • 40ml of LIME JUICE per 20kg of cement.
  • Preparation of 1m³ of mortar requires:
  • Cement: 225kg
  • Sand: 0.90m³
  • LIME JUICE: 450ml

Plastering Mortars:

  • 60ml of LIME JUICE per 20kg of cement.
  • Preparation of 1m³ of mortar requires:
  • Cement: 250kg
  • Sand: 0.84m³
  • LIME JUICE: 750ml

Fields of Application

LIME JUICE is ideal for preparing masonry, paving, plastering, or marble mortars, as well as strong layers in general.

Packaging

Stored in 5kg and 1kg plastic bottle containers.

Shelf-life/Storage

  • 18 months from production date if stored in original, unopened packaging.
  • Storage temperature: +5°C to +35°C.
  • Protect from direct sun exposure and frost.

Remarks

  • LIME JUICE offers better workability when mixed with fine-particle sand.
  • Overdosage (more than 0.4% by cement weight) will decrease mortar strength.

Directions for Use

LIME JUICE is added into the mixing water of mortars. Due to its plasticizing effect, less mixing water is required.
